They live in rain forests lol, very rare too. Last surviving member of the phylum onychophora, Halluicgenia and Perpatus being its extinct relatives.
Fun fact: Halluicgenia is the worm in Attack on Titan
Dang it. Well I hope the op responds before he kills the worm, or worse it dies of being too cold or something..

Wouldn't worry about temps, pests are extremely resilient, otherwise they wouldn't be pests.
I accidentally kept pyramid snails in cup because I forgot I put them there, they were still alive a month and a half later.

Tempted to go out to a wet area grab some mud, moss and rocks and find some velvet worms!
They do pop up for sale online every now and then, but I've heard they are extremely difficult to keep, you need to mimic rain forest conditions to a tee.

They are parasitic snails, they feed on clam mantles and other snail's flesh.

Looks like a Eunice worm to me. It is a very large genus. I'm surprised you caught it. Did you say you had recently treated the tank? Might have been off its rocker. Normally they remain anchored to their rock and retract lightning fast when they sense movement. I would not return it to the tank if you are on the fence about keeping it. This might have been your only chance! If you do, it's at least comforting that most are not the feared bobbit worm, and many I believe are meant to be detritivores and not ambush predators... Still, they have potent mandibles and might be opportunistic. I've spent many a night watching them under red LEDs. Even nearly nabbed one with long tweezers--then it opened its mandibles and began striking my tweezers like a snake, startling me enough to release my grip and GONE. That was the last time I tried to catch one. After that I just chucked the rock it lived in.
