I have a 60-gallon cube tank and few nero 5s in it. Currently I have them running in random mode, just wondering if there is any benefit to switch to pulsing mode? This topic is probably discussed before but I couldn't find the thread about it. Thanks in advance.

Personally I use random mode because it’s, well, random. That is how most of the ocean is. Do the corals do better in it? I have no idea. If it works in the real ocean, though, that’s good enough for me.

There are areas closer to shore that have waves constantly moving back and forth, maybe that is closer to pulse mode, so who knows.
So my answer is… I guess I don’t really have a definitive answer if pulse mode would have any benefit. :astonished-face:

Yeah, I tried and really haven't seen much difference between the two. Just wondering if anyone has strong feelings about one vs the other.

I’ve used pulse myself for a few years. I don’t know if it really makes a difference but it seems to work well with my Nero 3s
