What is the best/fastest way to raise salinity after a hypo treatment ?? I understand they don’t tolerate huge swings and it must be done relatively slowly, I think I’ve heard 5 days is Recommended, but what method ? Water changes with higher salinity water? Fill the ATO bucket with hyper saline water ? I’m trying to not waste as much salt as possible

Top off evaporation with saltwater and water changes with saltwater set to the salinity you want it at. Definitely go slow with it. What specific gravity are you at now and what do you want it at?

I’m at 1.009 now, looking to be around 1.024 -1.025

It just seems like that would take a really long time, like several weeks. I was thinking about just filling up the top off bucket with like 1.040 or something to try and speed it up but I don’t know if that’s recommended. It’s a ~120 gallon

The “fastest” way would be to dump a bunch of salt into your DT. Don’t ever do that.

The “best” way depends on who you ask. I personally would probably top off evaporation with saltwater, and use 1.026 for my normal w/c until tank salinity is back to normal.
