Switched salts from Coral Pro to the blue bucket. I noticed the the blue bucket mixes with a sliiiiightly brown/tan hue to it. Looks almost like old tank water. Is this a normal color / similar to what other reefers are experiencing?

I'm mixing with a submerged pump, no aeration, and at room temperature.

I use blue bucket. I always have some brown residue left behind in the mixing barrel, but the water itself mixes clear. In other words, if you siphon out some water into a clean bucket it should be clear.

As far CC as the residue left behind in the mixing barrel, I just clean it out 2-3 times a year. Has never bothered anything for me.

I use blue bucket. My mixing container is the same as my RO container. I clean it after every water change.
My two cents

I use blue bucket and my container does turn slightly brown, but the water always mixes clear.

I got a bit of white residue with the Coral Pro too. I didn't mind it as the water itself was crystal clear.

I mixed the blue bucket water late last night before bed. I'll see if the water itself cleared up after 18+ hours when I get home.
