a bit unsure of what you mean, are you thinking of the connection to filterrol? the wheel on the gate valve hits the door, so a solution must be found. The glue....kept waiting 8 hours, worked like a dream, no leak
Ah I see what you mean now. Loosen it at the bulk head and twist the whole pipe more towards the back. Mine fit with no modification.

There are two ways to do it.

First way is the way I did it you will need
1) 1” spears slip to slip gate valve
2) 32mm to 1” slip connector
3) 1” pvc pipe
4) 1” union optional I would recommend
I have mine hard plumbed into reef mat so I needed a 90 degree fitting as well. I can walk you through that if you have one.

Second way you can go is use a different slip I’ll attach another pic that shows you that way.

Did this today on my tank. Wow. What a difference. Highly recommend.

I went a little different route.. I used a union to the 32mm where I cut. I also reused the bottom piece from the diaphragm to my reefmat but will eventually hard pipe it.

unfortunately, I still spend almost every day adjusting the valve. will not choose red sea again unless they find a real cure for the problem. are there other aquariums that are as silent and do not have the problem? What do they do differently?

What are you using for a return pump? When was the last time you cleaned it as well?

After some adjustments, it stays in place for now. I'm using a Royal exclusive Red Dragon X 85W, running at 2070 RPM or about 2100 L/h. When did I last clean the pump? I've never cleaned it
