Yeah, the I programmed the hydros to turn off all flow, pumps, and the reef mat. I was mainly concerned that I would just brick the system so for now I top off by hand to make sure it doesn't go psycho.
Crazy that you have to do that on a system this expensive. I've been back and forward with Red Sea customer service for months regarding this valve and Reefmat interaction.

This is what I got with the 1" Spear Gate Valve and plumbing component. Supposedly will convert the tank to imperial. Also I've read that you can use half a standard slip 1" union to screw directly in the Reefmat intake fitting. Should be a fun project.

Do you turn off or reduce the return pump during feeding (feed mode)? Every time I do I have to turn off the ATO for 30min after it turns back on. The water level will drop in the return chamber and raise in the skimmer (weir box) for about 30min before going back to its normal level. Very annoying, if I forget to turn off the ATO it will drop 0.5 gal of RO every time.
This is the biggest pain in the rear... Whenever I turn the return off/on, my ATO goes into overdrive.

I just go into Reefbeat and turn off "Automatic Top Off". Just have to remember to turn it back on once the water level is settled.

I originally had my Reef Mat plumbed up directly to the Intake line, into the reefmat. Realized that was going to be a massive headache one day so I went with the flex tubing.

I like the flex tubing, but I want to put a Regal 150 in the sump. Im just worried about it not fitting with the ReefMat.

Ahh, ya you might not have room otherwise.

Are you not liking the Red Sea skimmer that came with? Or are you running skimmerless right now??

I didnt go with the max series, so I don't have it. But I want to go reef octo since it's super easy to set up a recirculating CO2 Scrubber on it.

I think it's now my turn for an update. The tank just turned 3mths old. Only coral lost since was my beautiful pink birdnest colony. But can still consider this a win overall. I replaced it with a decent size pink acro colony in the same spot.

I'm finally over the hump of the diatoms ugly phase. I added 2 weeks ago another batch of isopods and it really helped. I was seeing results within 3days (had diatoms for 2weeks prior).

Water parameter are rock solid so far with the current regiment. Currently dosing All for Reef, Bio-Magnesium and Amino Organic from Tropic Marin. Feed daily half a mysis shrimps cube, every 3 days phyto and once a week reef-roids.
- Alkalinity 8.5
- Calcium 450 ppm
- Magnesium 1460 ppm
- Phosphate 0.08 - 0.12 ppm (depended on when I fed the reef-roids)
- Nitrate 8.0 ppm
- Salinity 34.8 ppm

Stock added since last update.
- 3ea Blue Green Chromis
- Halloween Hermit
- Tiger Conch
- Bunch of different species of snails
- Rainbow Loom acro frag
- Bruce Banner acro mini colony
- Pink acro colony
- 3ea Trachyphyllia
- 2ea Goniopora
- 2ea Cyphastrea

I'm excited to see this thing grow out!

The meat corals are building up!

I'm thinking of adding some amphipods in to see of they help out a bit too
