Perhaps the current owners of these reefer line units can add an aluminium post in the middle of the massive unsupported gap. My RS Max S 650 has a post that you must install after you slide the sump into its final place.
Pictures please!

Thanks for clarifying this

I've been seeing multiple reports of people claiming their "G2 failed" but it never ends up actually being a G2

I'm not making excuses for Red Sea but it's hard for those of us trying to decide whether we should get a G2 which supposedly fixes the issues of others G1 tanks and comes with a 5 year warranty
Mine is 750 g2+ bought in July 2024 by Aug the seam failed….

I am glad you did not get a Red Sea. My RS was set up in March and failed by October. We are still dealing with the problem. Trying to set up another tank. Went for a Planet aquarium, it is not as easy of a setup but hoping it lasts for years and years.

I hate to see threads like this and really feel for all that have experienced these problems and losses. Thank you for sharing your experiences though. Red Sea was at the top of my list when i first started researching for a new build and has been removed from the list because of the seam issues and poor support. Hopefully by sharing your heartbreaking experiences you can prevent fellow hobbyists from experiencing the same. I hope your all your future endeavors in reefing are strife free and wish all the best of luck getting some sort of recovery from Red Sea.
