I'm just about to pull the trigger on a new Red Sea Reefer MAX 425 G-2+ system. I've had a Red Sea for over a decade but it's just the RSM 130D so not a BIG tank and definitely didn't have any of the "seam/silicone" issues.

I am wanting a "whole system" as I've done the "piece part" method before. It worked well but the time, research, and supply chain issues are not something I'm wanting to delve into right now. I'm wanting to order one sku from the supplier and everything but the salt, water, heater, rock, etc come in one "Eco System".

Since I'm 100% set on a "Whole System" approach what are the other reputable brands that offer "similar" packages in a 4' 90ish gallon system (cabinet, tank, hardware, lighting etc etc)?

I look forward to hearing your suggestions :)

You might want to at least consider this…there’s approx 20 left

It’s like 80% of a full system. We can help you get lights and pumps and a skimmer and they will be better than anything included in one of those “complete bundles”. We have members in the thread that already have theirs and others (myself included) whose packages are in transit.

I’ve read the g2+ supposed to be much better than the older models. Would be nice if people with g2+
Models gave their opinion.

I ended up ordering a Waterbox unit that fits my needs pretty much perfectly.

Allen

which one? the infina reef or frag?

I was considering a frag before i got my IM.

I wanted a more wider tank with euro bracing.

But the infinia series are nice tanks, but after seeing a IM and owning one, i think im sold on IM from now on.

There seem to be a lot of reports of Rea Sea tanks bursting from the seams after 2-4 years of being filled up. Glad you went with a waterbox instead.

Figuring out the why: Has your primary reason(s) for keeping a saltwater aquarium changed over time?
