Has anyone been able to successfully connect devices to the reef beat app in online mode? If so, would you be willing to share what steps you took to connect a new device. Most other threads I've read result in just connecting in offline mode (which works fine using the RS ATO I recently purchased), but I obviously went with this device so I could monitor the tank while I'm away. I've contacted red sea support and they were essentially useless, suggesting it's an internet service provider issue, and everything has been fixed on their end. I find this hard to believe seeing that people have been complaining about this for 5 years.

What I've already tried:
-deleting and re-installing app
-connecting in offline mode
-removing aquariums and adding again
-sulking

TIA for any advice

You have to connect using 2.4 ghz it will not connect with 5g. Have you tried this?

My router has 2.4 and 5.0 ghz channels running at the same time. I’m not sure how to select the 2.4 ghz specifically, so I may have to set up a guest wifi channel to get this to work. Thanks for the response

You can use your phone WiFi settings and forget the 5g and connect to 2.4

My router automatically broadcasts 2.4 and 5 ghz under the same name. I had to go into router settings under advanced SSID setup, and broadcast the 2.4 ghz channel separately under available networks. I disconnected from the 5 ghz channel as @*GAREEF* suggested and was able to connect online through the 2.4 channel. This was a pain in the butt and took several hours to setup, so hopefully we saved some people some time in the future!
