Both montis were small when I glued them down 2 years ago. I occasionally broke off pieces as they grew to get the shape the are in now. I constantly have to break pieces off in front when they get too close to the glass and block the magnet glass cleaner.

I have to admit I am a very big fan of arches in a reef tank. I have a big one and two smaller ones.

I agree. Arches cannot replace caves and hiding corner. They are only useful for esthetic purpose. I do not think any fish will be that happy in a tank that only has arches. Though attractive, they do not give any sense of security to the fish.

I have one cliff, one HUGE overhang, and a couple of caves. Fish LOVE the overhang.
