Hey R2R Community!

I’m Joe, a fellow reefer and long-time member of this amazing hobby. Like many of you, I’ve spent years logging water changes, tracking parameters, and trying to remember exactly when I last replaced my filter socks. I’ve used a lot of reef management tools, and while some were fantastic in certain areas, none quite checked all the boxes I was looking for.

That’s what inspired me to build Reef Trak—an iOS app designed to make reefkeeping easier by combining everything I wanted into one tool.

Why Reef Trak?
A Huge Fish Database: With over 900 species and advanced compatibility tracking, you can log your fish and avoid compatibility surprises. Going to your LFS? See a nice fish? Check if it will work in your tank BEFORE you take it home.
Tank Profiles: Manage multiple tanks, track dimensions, and log maintenance and parameters.
Reports: Want a paper hardcopy of your parameters and trends? We have a pdf print option with a custom report of your tank.
Parameter Tracking: Easily log key water parameters, view trends over time, and stay ahead of problems before they happen.
Smart Maintenance: Set custom schedules for tasks like water changes and equipment checks, so nothing gets forgotten.
Achievements: Track your progress as a reefkeeper with fun milestones to keep you motivated.

What I’m most proud of is that everything stays private—your data lives on your device or iCloud, and the app works offline, so you don’t need to rely on the internet to use it.

Phase 1 Beta Details
I’m excited to announce that Phase 1 of the beta is open to the first 50 testers who sign up! As a thank-you, beta testers will get a lifetime license to Reef Trak when it officially launches.

Testing is through TestFlight on iOS, and I’d love feedback from reefers with all kinds of setups—from nanos to large systems.

Thanks for taking a look, and thank you, R2R, for being such an incredible resource over the years. This app wouldn’t have come together without this community!

-Joe

interested, I'd give it a shot
Thanks for jumping on Discord! I am a total noob when it comes to that. I left instructions there but here is fine too.

Installation Instructions:

Step 1: Install TestFlight
1. Open the App Store on your iOS device
2. Search for "TestFlight" or use this link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/testflight/id899247664
3. Download and install the TestFlight app
4. Open TestFlight once installed

Step 2: Install Reef Trak Beta
1. Click this link on your iOS device: https://testflight.apple.com/join/mjPaduDU
(If you're reading this on a computer, you can email the link to yourself)
2. The link will automatically open TestFlight
3. Tap "Accept" for the beta invitation
4. Tap "Install" to download Reef Trak
5. Once installed, you'll find Reef Trak on your home screen with a yellow dot (indicating it's a TestFlight beta)

Notes:
• You must keep TestFlight installed to use the beta
• TestFlight will notify you when updates are available
• Beta builds expire after 90 days, but you'll be notified to update before expiration
• If you encounter any issues, try these steps:
- Make sure you're on iOS 16.1 or later
- Close and reopen TestFlight
- Check your internet connection
- If needed, delete and reinstall TestFlight

Can you sign me up as one of the 50 beta testers

Downloading items now
This is my first app and I was not sure how it would look on the other end but I dont have access to peoples ID which in one way makes it super nice but also means I cant track (lol pun intended) who the 50 are. At some point I will have to make a form or something to get everyone's details that want to keep using it past beta. You are in tho! Thank you for testing <3

I would be interested in trying it out.
Here you go! Its a 2 step process, you need the beta testing software from Apple its small but it allows you to send me feedback anonymously and I can see crashes or issues and what caused them. When its out of beta it will be a stand alone app.

Thank you very much for testing it out!

Installation Instructions:

Step 1: Install TestFlight
1. Open the App Store on your iOS device
2. Search for "TestFlight" or use this link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/testflight/id899247664
