Hi all,
I’m just setting up my first reef tank and have spent the past few weeks trying to find a decent rock work scape, I bought 12 x 12” caribsea arches and I’m kind of regretting it lol, I’ve had it in the below arrangement for a week or so to see how I feel about it but just wondering if I could get some feedback from you all, I feel like there’s plenty of space for corals and some good hides for the future residents. But yeah, please let me know if you think it’s ok or if there’s anything you think I should change.
Thanks,
Mike.

I love arches in tanks. The only suggestion I have is that if you have extra rock, create a small island somewhere just in case you decide to add anything that likes to grow a little quickly or travel. That's one thing I wish I had done, but it looks awesome as is! :)

Ah great, thank you. I haven’t got any extra rock but I did try to leave a bit of space in front of the pile on the left in case I wanted to create a little island for something. Thanks Alycia

Nicely done! So far it's the best first attempt I've personally seen. I have nothing to suggest.

Thanks all, that’s a relief I was getting a bit bored of rearranging then leaving for a week or two to try and get used to it lol

I have left enough room between the glass to fit my hand down, think it might look a bit misleading on the top down view because of the brace, but the side on view gives a better idea of room between the rocks and glass.

Looks good.

If it were me, I'd probably take a piece of lower rock and try and bridge the two structures.... But that's me, I like that look, and something for fish to swim under, and it frees up more sandbed for low corals :)

Looks good. The only thing I might do is remove some of the rock circled in yellow to create more separation between the two structures and then add a small island in the front area circled in purple.

I was tempted to connect them but decided not to, just to try and stop things spreading all across, but to be honest that was mainly because I wanted pulsing Xenia and thought if I can put that on the left it should stop it spreading all across. But I’m not sure if I’m going to have it now anyway

even if it spreads I understand it is easily trimmable.
