Hello.

I am setting up my first QT tank which is a 20gl for fish quarantine. I want my SG to be 1.018. Is there a calculator out there that I can input my water volume and required SG to get the mix ratio for adding salt to the RO water?

I looked and apologize in advance if I missed it here..

Do you mean how much salt to add to get the required salinity? I don't think such a calculator exists, as it varies slightly by brand.

Hamza's Reef has some fantastic calculators for adjusting salinity, though. You just have to add less than you would normally, measure, and adjust with more RODI water, or salt, as needed.

Here's one that should help you figure that out without too much mixing back and forth.
