My Connector is the what I would call old school s-video connector but it does not foot in apex head unit, did any of yours not physically fit in the salinity port connection on Apex head unit ?
Fits perfectly in my A2 head unit. Mini din 4 pin connector. Same as any current video cable.

I've had this one running since my last post, working quite well. The daily spike is when my pumps slow for feeding. Jan 18th was a water change.

Do I need any calibration fluid to calibrate or just plug and play. Thanks in advance

He sent me the link he bought from, it does not fit, careful ordering until we figure this out.
I'm wondering if you were sent the wrong item, according to details of probe in link your connector should be the one shown below. I ordered one that should be delivered next week, i'll update post when I get it.

Thats the exact item I ordered, the connection end is either spec'd wrong on my units or the quality control on the other side is exactly what should be expected, not very precise.

I requested refund, We'll see how difficult that is.

I may cut off end, solder wires back together with USA spec video connector on it

Like I said be careful, they tend to send a standard din instead of a mini din cable.

It is mini DIN, i think it's just mm from the correct size. It's supposed to be 9mm its about 8mm in measurement, so it is too small to go in connection, even a simple monitor and tv it wont plug into, its just a tick too small.

I have another one that arrived late last week and I will check it Tuesday when I get home from work to see if mine is the right one.

Just plug it in, you can calibrate with your tank water. Use a refractometer to check that you are at 35 ppt, or 1.026 and that is the same as the 53 mS calibration standard.

Exact same one I ordered my Mini DIN measures less than 9mm instead of 9.5mm needed for USA spec.

Probably poor quality control in manufacturing. Working with seller for a remedy. Others who have received this probe definitely work for them

Embarrassed to say, probe fits if you plug it in the correct Apex head unit port. My probe has been not working for 3 months. I thought I unplugged and took offline. I didn't it was still plugged in, so I thought the 6 Switch input was the salinity input, they look sooooooo similar.
Posting to advise others.
Laughing at myself. Probe fits, reads exactly perfect to the exact. 3 units test the same as Apex now 35 ppt.
Happy reefing, always admit your mistakes to keep others from making the same errors.

It's definitely hard to know what connection is right when the unit is mounted to a wall and obstructed by all the wires connected to it.

Where my head unit is located, I have to connect blindly rely solely on proprioception to make a connection.
