Itll be something when I'm done for sure. Looks like it'll be 190 gallon total volume. When up and running. I'm ordering a custom built 60x24x24. Thats 150gal. Plus the sump. There will be a 5 foot live edge bar on the viewing side. Back side is all for me. When I get the running water done and the rock on the walls I'll start to aquire gear. I already have my reef octopus skimmer. Some dead rock. Some reactor cans. A 75gpd 5 stage rodi. But ill sit down and make a comprehensive list of things to have even prior to placing my tank order. I'll also be building a stand myself. That room isn't good for anything.
(Except an awesome, incredible, fun, fantastic FISH ROOM, that is!)
Make sure to use the moisture resistant kind.Project has been on hold due to the fact I have not been able to haul any sheet rock. Been raining here nonstop should be able to get back at it in a week or so.
I didn’t pour concrete but I added a couple steel I beams to reinforce the floor.Yes it takes a certain level of dedication to go to this extreme just to support a tank... I've seen many threads where someone said "I ran a support under my tank in the basement so I would not have a problem" I have not seen ANYONE say " I ripped up my floor poured a concrete foundation replaced all the joists and anchored them to said foundation so It could support the tank". End goal is a tank of the month build. When I get up and running. Well thats the 2nd end goal. Primary end goal is simple, have a beautiful tank Well supported with an easy maintenance system to keep my corals and fish healthy and happy.
