I would love to get another Leopard Wrasse, or possibly Halichoeres wrasse for the sixty. Still thinking on another tank mate or two for the Hectors in the 22.

Mad scientist hybrid of meat and Acro.Is that a meat coral?
I've never really done it before, but I've started to look at my tank after the lights goes out. To my shock, the tenacles and pe are crazy. So I've adjusted my phyto to half during the day and half after light goes out.
Do you have a red light flashlight?I've never really done it before, but I've started to look at my tank after the lights goes out. To my shock, the tenacles and pe are crazy. So I've adjusted my phyto to half during the day and half after light goes out.
No. What does that do?Do you have a red light flashlight?
You can grab a cheap one from Amazon. You can shine it in your tank at night and it doesn't scare the fish or inverts..it's a wavelength they can't see. Pretty cool to see the inverts going to work without them getting spookedNo. What does that do?
I use a UV black light. Acro’s produce a protein in their skin to block UV light that protects their Zooxanthella from UV burn. It fluoresces at night under UV light. polyps fluoresce as well.No. What does that do?

Ha..beat meI use a UV black light. Acro’s produce a protein in their skin to block UV light that protects their Zooxanthella from UV burn. It fluoresces at night under UV light. polyps fluoresce as well.
Exactly why I have it. I thought this one was dead. Looked completely dark in daylight. Looked at it under a UV light at night. Definitely alive. Two good/cheap investments:
red flashlight for that
Uv flashlight to check acro fluorescence at night to see if they are good or struggling. Hard to tell during the day sometimes
I wish I had one to compare! Hopefully the next sale I'll grab one. See if I can keep acros alive yet. Although 3 are hanging on, and our rainbow pocillopora has came back great. It was bone skeleton white two months ago. Never pulled it out. Now it's full of polyps again, at least I can keep that one SPS alive lol..reason I was showing and asking was to see what other colors it can pull if anyone has one
I saw that and justI like how brs raised the price of hanna alk reagent to 15 bucks like 5 days ago and just put it on "sale" for $12.72 today.
