If it was me. I would set up another tank all.on egg crate and do the 8-10 weeks dip. Take down the main tain, bleach, scrub, nuke it and whatever it takes. Start fresh. Hard work, but best option IMO

They'll survive in one. I have one in a 20g for QT since Jan 3rd and they are going to be in there for another 3 weeks. Its not ideal, but they could survive. Petco is doing 50% off right now, you could pick up a 40g breeder for $60. You could sign up for a new Petco account for 15$ off, I did that for the two 20g longs I bought so they were 21$ each.

On another note of "reefing always has hurdles", I was drip acclimating the fish I got yesterday since the salinity was low, and whilst sitting on the couch staring at my phone I heard a weird "meow". My cat had one fish under its paw on the hardwood floor and one half out of her mouth...

A quick slap and she spit it out. I scooped both up and put them back in the water. She is lucky she's cute, darn bugger.

mmmm. I think I need to turn my skimmer back on.... and do a water change this weekend. I had my skimmer off for about a week, overfeeding, and between the phyto, bacteria and dosing... I now understand why my dino's could be gone... I am not at risk of having my tank bottom out, Its ready to go into orbit.

It seems with the dosing with alk, my tank has decided 9.2 is the spot it likes... could be worse? As for nitrates and phophates.. Drum roll for entertainment..
