Yeah. I’m torn. Idk which to doThe Milwaukee MA887 is what I use, I calibrate it before every use. Takes 5 seconds. Use distilled water not RODI. I buy a gallon at the store. Use decent room lighting. Don't stand over top of it and create shadows.
I occasionally check it with 35ppt solution and it has never been off.
My friend is currently using that Hanna salinity the I sent you the link for. I use both a refractometer and the milwaukeeYeah. I’m torn. Idk which to do![]()
Okay. Why you using two. Just to test against the other? I mean the reviews for what you sent says it’s easy calibration and quick set up but then it means I’m always buying calibration fluid correct? My friend is currently using that Hanna salinity the I sent you the link for. I started with a refractometer, but I always second guess myself. 35, but maybe 34, well could be 36...My friend is currently using that Hanna salinity the I sent you the link for. I use both a refractometer and the milwaukee

Do you have a good set of digital scales? There's a homemade recipe to make calibration solution really cheap.Okay. Why you using two. Just to test against the other? Friend said Hanna can't be calibrated with filter water. They sell packets of calibration fluid. You just put the packet in the checker and press the button. 25pack for like $27. It doesn't need calibrated often. he calibrated it 1x a month and it always remained calibrated for him
Hm. That’s not that bad if it doesn’t need constant calibration. Maybe I’ll give that a whirl then.Friend said Hanna can't be calibrated with filter water. They sell packets of calibration fluid.
