yeah give it a good thorough testing. nothing fell in the tank? could the towel that got wet have put some cleaner /fabric softener in the tank? just grasping for straws here.... where do you get your top off water again?

Why haven’t you checked. Do you have test kit? Dont wait, Check your nitrates and phosphates, tonight. How big is that tank, 10 gal? When was your last water change? You should be able to do a large water change and get your other parameters in check. Looks like corals are starving, algae outcompeting everything. Maybe a bacterial bloom or cyano. Suck that stuff out of there.

I didn't check cuz of everything happening rn, I did a 30% wc, but ill check tomorrow
