Alright water change is done, for now. Salinity has been reduced, I'll check by how much later once temp is back up and the old and new waters have had time to mix

wc lol . Take 5 gallons out and ato fill it .
That's pretty much what I did. I already had 10 gals mixed up overnight. But it was also high, around 40 ppm. But I did fill my ato up and used it to help reduce the tank down to around 40ppm before adding in the new water. Before filling it up a second time and moved my sensor up to allow for more freshwater into the system. Been meaning to raise it up anyways, to reduce some water splashes in the sump chambers.

Between the skimmer and return, don't have them dose at the same time.
Thanks all - I went ahead and have them dosing into the bubble trap between the skimmer section and the return pump section. Figured that gets the best mixing before it hits the return pump.

Got them set up to dose Alk from midnight til 2am, wait an hour and the Ca from 3am to 5am.

That actually might be the wrong times now that I think about it. My auto-water change goes from midnight til 5:30am.

Hmm, gonna change the ESV dosing.

Really wanted to participate in this sale but wondering if overnight temps here will be to low for successful shipping. What is the low range for success?

All depends on how your UPS shipping system is. Used to live in Eastern Iowa and would still get corals throughout the winter months. I always had them diverted after shipping to a hold location to keep them warm till I could pick them up after work

I've had them shipped in that type of weather before and they were fine. A shipment from another vendor actually was a day late and they were ok.

All depends on how they pack and ship.

You could also have them delivered to a UPS access point for pickup. Those are usually the first drop offs in the morning. Some places like CVS are access points now. Google UPS Access Point and it should give a list of ones near you.

SBB uses heat packs, packs everything very well and 14 day guarantee... No worries!!!
Also won't ship if things are looking like there will be any delays
