My phos jumped to .5 and I noticed my gonis were cranky

Edit

Now that it’s back to .2 they are happy again
.5 is to high, if I get up towards .3 lots of cranky stuff. There are people here that run som incredibly high no3/po4 and have fantastic tanks.

I normally run low but had a spike july 28, I reduced from .98 to around .5 rapidly and brought it back down slowly over the next few months and now am at .09. But I feel things looked best in the .2-.4 range soo I might feed a little more and bump it up slightly

One thing, think Shane mentioned it in the webinar. It's ok to raise no3 fairly quickly but don't let it drop to quickly... po4 just keep a bit above 0..
Po4 should never reach 0....

Gonis can be temperamental.... like acros, pick a spot and don't move... i have some that retract every few weeks and then perks right up.
Gonis are a bit of a sore spot for me right now. Hadn’t said anything but I’ve had some problems . Lost a few to posssible bacterial issues. Hence the chemiclean . Lost 3 this week including the Bear. All my other lps seem in good shape thank goodness. Did a 12.5 WC yesterday after treatment and things look better. But now I lost one of the two MightyJet pumps . Ugh.

Stay the course... they will bounce back... my issues are almost always flow.. if you can get a random upwelling flow that seems to perk mine up. Kind of hard in my small tank..
