Plans, big plans
Collonista snails. Pain in the ***. Those little jerks get in between the housing of those mp40s and it's "clickclickclickclick" all day.Morning everyone. Early morning picture of my baby snails doing their morning glass graze. If I were to try and count them I would hit 1000 before I could count them all. Nothing like a robust reproducing cleaning crew. The little white dots.
Is there a away to rid of them. Are they harmfulCollonista snails. Pain in the ***. Those little jerks get in between the housing of those mp40s and it's "clickclickclickclick" all day.
Great cleanup crew, get a wrasse. Is there a away to rid of them. Are they harmful
I have barebottom, no sandGreat cleanup crew, get a wrasse.
Other than the above mentioned issues with getting into the pumps, no, they are not harmful in any way that I have seen. I do have to be careful when cleaning the glass as they will get caught between the inside part of the magnet cleaner and could potentially result in a scratch. They reproduce like rabbits initially but the population has seemed to slow as the tank matured. Is there a away to rid of them. Are they harmful

I have a full size melanarus wrasse that I was hoping would eradicate them but so far he hasn't shown any interest.
Manual removal has been my go to.
Mine is just a bully to any new wrasse that is added.Crazy how one fish to another is completely different.
I have a young Mel and she is definitely a threat to small snails.
