Seahorse Tail infection?

I think this is tail trauma from a wavemaker and it has been infected…
Any treatment suggestions appreciated…
Currently fish is in a acclimation box and appears “relatively” healthy

I agree, looks like trauma versus tail rot but will need treatment before it becomes such. This can result in vibrio or flesh issues. Best treatment will be Seachem Neoplex ( USED AS DIRECTED), or at 90% of recommended

Even if expired, Ive used expired and it seemed to be effective. I know kanaplex has a sticker with expiration. Not positive on Neoplex

In the first image, it looks like there are some shiny gas bubbles present. If so, it could be gas bubble disease. GBD is tough to treat.


Some bacteria also produce gas, so the bubbles could be from them.

the image resolution does not show it but yes, with the actual eyeball,it it dang near looks like a cluster of clear bubbles…sorta nasty … puss-ish …oozing maybe …
My money is on the bacterial gas thing …

fish is in a aerated bucket of clean water, hitches and the neoplex…

appreciate that but she passed,
you hate to loose a fish regardless of value but Yellow erectus aren’t cheap

just info in case someone search takes them here but …
I’ve had another seahorse try to hitch on a powerhead only to have the tip of the tail chopped off..
I have a Nem guard on the Nero 5 but it is not designed to protect the front output, so the seahorses frustratingly seem attracted to the front guard spokes as a hitch …

this issue and danger seems true of every powerhead design
