Any reason this nano from Innovative Marine wouldn't work as a QT? My thought is that I'm going to leave the tank on my desk - I have plenty of space and it would give me something to look at so I wanted to go with something that looked 'nice' and streamline. My thought is that I can put some sort of filter material in the left chamber (filter sock / floss / etc etc) and then just toss in a bag of bio media from my sump in the back. All in seems like a good value ($120~) for everything for a tank that looks good.

What’s the volume? Does it have a way to keep fish from jumping out?

It's 15x15x15 (around 15 gallons total volume) - the display area volume is around 11.5 (15x11.5x15)

There is a mesh lid also (not included but a small add-on)
That will work fine for a few small fish. You would have some difficulty using it to quarantine larger, more active swimmers like wrasse or tangs.

I've had success with a simple 10 gallon petco tank, heater, airstone and HOB filter. Water quality is kept in check with changing out a couple gallons of water every 2-3 days (pre-mixed with the appropriate copper dosage). Pre-seeded media certainly isn't a bad idea, but I don't bother as water changes alone work well for me.
