I wash my filter socks in the washing machine with bleach. I have 2 sets, so while one is drying (which neutralizes the chlorine) I use the other set.

Tired of the chore cleaning your skimmer. Get a bottle brush and take off the lid. Use the brush to clean the tower of gunk which will go to the base of your skimmer. Put your hand over the drain of the drain and block the flow. The gunk will rise to the collection cup. You can modulate the water in the tower by adding more or less back pressure!

I will add to this and suggest a plastic handled squeegee. On the large spaces of glass, I spray with RODI water and then use the squeegee to wipe away the water. I wipe the squeegee rubber off with a micro fiber cloth in between passes. I initially used a squeegee with a metal handle but rust became an issue.
Same here. I use one of those Oxo shower squeegees. Works great on the matte black Red Sea stand as well. Just wiping with a towel left a bunch of streaks on the stand.

These tunze upgrades make class cleaning a breeze. Especially when you haven't cleaned the glass in days.

This has saved me so much hassle when cleaning algae. Especially bubble algae. You can get in all the little nooks.

Ensure you have enough CUC in the tank to keep your mesh filter socks clean. Somehow, I think mine stay sparkly clean due to bristle worms, and pods inside the socks. I regularly disturb the sand with a turkey baster to make sure they stay fed.
