Last year when I was getting ready for my wedding, my son (8 at the time) decided he was going to help me out in the middle of the night and run a hose to my sump and turn on the water. Needless to say, it destroyed my old stand along with lots of damage to the house. Thankfully, my home insurance covered a replacement for the stand as well as the rest of the repairs. I had to pay a total of $500 out of pocket for $5,000 in damage. Not bad. To get to my stand, I had a local cabinet maker make me a stand. He's never done this before and was excited for the challenge. It was well built and I'm very proud of it.
Excuse the mess. We we getting everything placed back. The tank it is for is a 155 gallon bowfront. I now have my sump in a dedication room I built in the garage, where everything is plumbed to.
Here's my new tank before I put water in it. It's a standard 120, and the stand is about 7.5' long. The extra space on the left holds the ATO res, and the space on the right holds the electronics.
