Hello everyone, I
Screenshot_20200511-150515_Drive.jpg
have recently brought some silweld silicone tape to repair a wire on my skimmer. I was wondering if anybody knows if it is reef safe or not? I've checked the list of ingredients and it just says silicone but if that is the case how dose it stick together? I will attach a picture of information on it.

Thanks in advance.

It only bonds to itself. It kind of transforms over time into a semi solid lump of silicone. It should be safe.

That is what I was thinking. There is no adhesive in it and it says 100% silicone. I couldn't find any information on how the process works. (Of it bonding to itself)

Thanks for they replys

So it turns out the wire was not the issue and it was the pump itself that was causing an electrical shock, dam it.
