I do not have a sump and I would prefer external. I have a Fluval 407 filter. I'm sorry for not giving all the info. Thank you so much for replyingA little more info will help people make suggestions.
Do you have a sump or does the skimmer need to be HOB?
If you have a sump, how much room do you have to place a skimmer in it?
What other filtration do you have in place?
haha I will def look around at reef octo thank you so much for the suggestion.I would recommend any of the reef octo skimmers. Hardest thing will be finding any skimmer for under $150
Marketplace is always a good idea. Thanks for the suggestion. I have a fluval 407 and this will have to be external.Definitely need more information. Are you running a sump or will this be HOB or external? My suggestion is to hawk the marketplace and pick up a used one.

Like a dwarf moray eelI don't know that a tank can be maintained by a $150.00 skimmer with "dirty/messy" fish.
What kind of fish are we talking about?
1. That tank looks AWESOMEYou could consider a Cora-Life 160 HOB skimmer to pull dissolved organics but you’ll need some good mechanical filtration to pull the messy stuff.
I used a simple AquaClear 110 with sponge which I changed out every two days along with the 160 skimmer listed above, on this 64g, it’s quite inexpensive and for me, worked very well.
Aqua clear on the left, Skimmer on the right.
This system 3 years old.
