Hi, I've scoured the internet and can't seem to find instructions on how to take apart or repair a PVC Spears Gate Valve. I've notice that the one I have on my manifold does not completely arrest the flow of water when closed. Unfortunately I did not use a union when I installed it so it is now permanently part of my manifold. Looking for info on how to service the valve. I was told they are fully serviceable hence why I did not use a union. Dumb in retrospect as a swap out would have been easier.

Thanks for any help or pointing me in the right direction.

Behind the red knob should be able to be unthreaded off to clean out the valve.

Thanks! You mean this part I circled in orange. Do I need to remove the red knob first?
Thanks again!

The larger nut underneath it will remove the knob and the gate mechanism

great....thank you so much.
You bet :) I've had to undo mine to remove snails that got a bit to curious lol. Easier than undoing the unions and pulling the whole unit

I would call and ask these people if they sell the parts to repair the valve you have and how to do it. I have only taken apart metal ones . I assume its the same, maybe just a cleaning is needed . Large nut takes them apart.

Thanks...I'm going to give it a try on my own but will reach out for them in case I need an O ring or part. Fingers crossed
