And completely unrelated, one of my gonis has a huge vermitid snail on and in its skeleton. Tomorrow I’ll have to see if I can save it. Wasn’t noticeable until the hole thru the middle appeared suddenly

Eeek!

I have some on a few hammers….i keep meaning to get in the tank with a pair of pliers and end them, but then I debate the best angle and worry my attack clown will strike at the worst moment and I checked out.

Weird that it was under the flesh……didn’t think they’d go that far

Well I ended up having to remove the Goni . Freakin snail had made the entire inside of the skeleton its home. I HATE verms.
Wait! How big was this Goni?

Why are there no pictures

We could have tried to save it!!!

1. 2.5 inches by 1 in wide . Probably overreacted but the hole was ¾ “ around inside. And I have a terrible track record in attempting to save things. No pics cause ,well just because I guess. Haven’t really taken many pics recently in general , probably cause I’m getting readjusted to working overnight again. And all I want to do is get breakfast and try to sleep.

The one behind the Care Bear here. The freaken snail put a hole dead center. It went from this to gonzo in a matter of a couple days. POed no end. I had that Goni for over a year.

Well I had a huge verm grow on the side of a rock before but was able save the coral. Not quite the same I know. And I use whites during the day and that with Kraken orange lens for the pic. I like my tanks whiter in daytime. Not a huge fan of making it look like Picassos Blue Period in the middle of the day….
And yeah that was a first for me too.

Finally off for a couple days . Decided to do a little work with the tank and take some pics since it was Thursday that I had last paid any real attention. One thing I noted this morning, is that the phyto I dosed seemed to give some pop with the sps and polyp extension
