Does anyone have experience with these LEDs. I'm setting up a new tank and I see so many new led system poping up and really sure which one to try. If anyone is running this system or any other I would grateful for your input.

The latest generation of the tubes are looking pretty nice. Their first attempt wasn't that great, and was plagued by LED and driver failures. Now they are using higher quality parts, and a decent heatsink on the tubes. Light quality seemed decent from the few examples I've seen of the system running, and the mix-and-match nature is nice. Get's expensive though.

I have one 440nm 6ft tube, second generation in my sps 135. The shimmer is very nice and something I didn't have with the vho's I was running. It does wash out some when my 3 MH come on but the corals pop.

Definitely expensive, though.

How are you running the 440nm 6ft tube?

I think this is the fixture Vivid's got running over a couple of their tanks. Looks nice and the mix-and-match is a great idea, but like Evil said, the tubes get pretty expensive.

I mounted it in the front of the tank angled back and down. Here's a couple of shots with the camera phone from awhile back.

Excuse the filth of the tank. It's much cleaner now. I upped my dosage of Bacter7/vodka and added 9 urchins. Everything but the valonia is gone.

Very nice. What other light are you using on the tank or are you just using LEDs on the tank?

Thanks! I'm using 2 x 175w icecap ballasts with mini lumenmax and Iwasaki 15k mogul MH. In the middle I'm using a hamilton ballast with a spyder reflector and a reeflux 175w 14k I think.
