Couple questions if I may. Have you resealed a tank before? If not did you find it easy? I don’t think I have the fortitude to do that.
Really nice job on the stand. It looks like it was solid wood? Color choice is nice.
How long has the chalice been in there? I would have thought the MH would have burned it. Looks like it’s doing good, as the acro too.
I alway look at people's room to to get decorating ideas. Wood tile? Nice color.
Last comment. The last pic, the lyrtail has a look like it is saying, do you have permission to take s pix of me.
Anyway, answer all or non of the ?’s as you may. Still nice build
@Crabs McJones , I hope this is not to forward and if ok @rynosaurus this be a member tank build so it could could get more followers. It was a local reef so I almost skipped it. Sorry again if I overstepped my boundaries. Following along
The more the merrier. I had people commenting when I first started posting than is slowly declined. I assumed I was just boring lol!
As for your questions @Mastiffsrule,
- This was the second tank I have resealed and honestly it’s very easy, it seems intimidating at first but by the second one I was already confident in my repairs. Hardest part is removing the old silicone.
-the stand is not solid wood but I greatly strengthened it with 2X3’s everywhere I could.
- the chalice has just recently been added maybe three weeks, the Acro is even newer at only a few days. These are both new corals for me as my last tank was all soft corals so if I’ve placed them wrong please let me know before I ruin them. They seem happy so far!
- yes the floors in my house are all wood tile, new house and I’m so glad we picked that tile it looks amazing, except when covered in dog hair lol.
I love my tank so far and can’t wait to finish getting my fish and to finally introduce some tangs.
