Hey bud, don't do that.

I never met anyone as passionate as you about this hobby.

Let's figure out a way to fix this.
I agree. We can get this fixed and I have a ton of blastos you can have when the time comes. They need to be thinned out anyways.

I must admit that giving up was not the right thing.
I have worked everyday removing all the algae in the tank till now it's almost spotless. The No3 and Po4 are finally detectable and it shows by my corals polyp extension.
Having all the nutrients bound up in the algae was just smothering my coral and when I added Flux Rx it depleted the O2 that was in the water but after turning the skimmer on, and removing algae everyday/ lots of coral looked better than before.
Still a few days away from the 14 days they say with Flux Rx and have my chaeto in a bag to go back into the reactor when it's done.
I have learned some hard lessons from this and hope it helps other people
1.- Replace old test Chemicals
2. - Don't panic
3. - Read what others have done and don't be afraid to ask questions even if you are confident in your own knowledge

It troubles me sometimes following your journey, I have my own mental health issues amongst other things, use your journal to share things that concern you, there are a lot of people here that will be happy to help. :)
Please don't let my little journey trouble you as being open about things is the only way I know how to communicate efficiently.
In the end we all want the same thing, and that is a good reef tank with happy critters. I still have a battle on my hands as I am not sure that my chaeto reactor will consume enough nutrients to keep the GHA away for good.
This could be a never ending battle and we will find out.
What really drove me to keep going was when some jerk put a laughing face on my first post in this thread. I was hurt and decided that giving up let people that want me to fail win.(Because of a certain company that I once was associated with)
Either way this is just starting a new chapter in my build thread is all, and hopefully people can learn from my mistakes.

Here are some pictures of the tank as of today where 99% of the algae has been removed or is dead.
Now it's time to figure out when I want to turn on the GAC and do the water change then put my chaeto back in the reactor.
I will need some help figuring out the best routine going forward.

All those leathers are gorgeous!
I have always loved leathers and now with these guys extending their polyp’s cause they are not being smothered is really awesome
Everything is now looking happy. Well done.
Thank you as coral get happy when they get nutrients

I have my algae reactor on but without lights and cheato so I think the next step would be to start my activated carbon then do about a 30gallon change to get rid of the flux.
What does everyone think? Any ideas?
@vetteguy53081 what do you think based from the progress above?

I say do a water change then slowly bring algae reactor online. I wouldn’t do carbon unless the water starts to turn yellow or just isn’t clear enough.

Wasn’t relating the two. Makes more sense now. Definitely run carbon.
I will start doing the carbon on Saturday as that will be the 14day mark since adding the meds. I have a brand new 55gal batch of water already made up using TMpro salt for the first time. The alk in the salt is 8.3 and my tank tested 8.2 so we good there
Both at 1.025

I got my new Po4 Hanna meter today and wow was I shocked how low my nutrients are.
P04 =.01 checked twice
No3 =2
I see why the coral has opened way up as it's consuming the left over N03 and Po4 from the algae die off.
Everything is opening the best it has in months except for the zoas.

It's been a week since my last update and everything is really doing well.
I have a nice stability in my N03 and Po4 with
No3=2ppm
Po4=.03
The cleanup crew is working overtime and I love my urchin(his name is spike)

Changed the current on the Hydros to go from a gyre to a sine wave and my Torch and leathers seem to love it.

Here is a short video and things seem really happy with it
