What we need from you!

1) Pics of your favorite (s) SPS that look best under 10k Kelvin or "full spectrum" lighting.

One pic of a frag and one pic of the grown out colony.

Can be someone else's photo but get permission from the creator to post!!

2) The genius and species of the coral

3) Trade Name & Lineage (ORA, Tyree, Battle Corals, etc). Write out the acronym if you know it!

4) Aliases (some same corals are sold with different trade names. Post those names here, so others know what's what)

5) Light + Flow Requirements (hi, med, low)

6) Growth rate (fast, moderate, slow)

7) Your lighting details for the coral in your photo (be specific!)

I'll take these info/pics and compile them into a database type format in the first post for all to review.

If your favorite coral is already in the database, post anyway. We want to see the eye candy, and maybe your photo will replace one that's in the database!

Sent POTO a request to reproduce some of their photos here on this thread. They carry many SPS that would fit this category... Let's see what they say! Will probably shoot a note over to Battle Corals as well. More to come!

In the meantime, I'll begin scouring the R2R threads and requesting info/permissions to repost for the database.

Let me know your thoughts & suggestions!

WWC Heartbreaker. As pink as pink can pink under even mix of ATI Coral Plus and Blue Plus. I’ve found it to be happy under ~300PAR and as much random flow as you can give it.

This colony is a 4 years old and has been chopped a bunch.

Man, she's a beaut! Thanks for the great pictures and detailed info! You don't happen to know the species, do you? First entry into the database complete! This looks to be tabling-type growth, no? Will post to the database soon. Keep 'em coming if you got more!

My suspicion is more likely A. Cytherea, but common info says A. Hyacinthus

Beautiful coral! Funny, the colors you are managing to pull out of this piece are akin to many of the A. tenuis you see requiring 460 nm to show the color. Bravo, and thanks for the data/input/pics.

Do you consider T5 Coral+ & Blue plus combo as 10k? 10k as defined by our eyes is more yellow than that combo.

Same with running most LED brands at 100% to create full spectrum. I'm guessing this is more of a 14-18k look but looks white to our eyes. This is also akin to running Radion bulbs & VHO antinics.

I'm suggesting maybe you should widen that range a bit to 10-14k or so.

You’re right Ed. I missed the 10k specification and just saw full spectrum. FWIW my submission looks just as pink under just coral plus bulbs (which to your point are what, 14k?)
