These pieces are literally almost too beautiful to be real...(but they actually do look like this)!

Ok, just wanted to share...the guy I generally buy corals from just got a new shipment today and I just found these pieces particularly striking. No...these pictures might be very slightly "touched up" for white balance and things like that, but if I ordered one of these pieces tonight, I know from experience that what Id receive would clearly be the same coral in the picture. Gotta love that!

This one is especially beautiful. Gorgeous!
its a war coral and very easily available if you wanted one.

Most of the coral here is pretty but stuff we still get imported to the US. I do like the size and color of that acro though, maybe a spath given it looks thicker than a millepora. That would be my choice out of these guys
The tenuis might color up and would be worth it if cheap. It could color up well but no guarantee there

A couple things I love about the corals here are that the shops generally dont make a dozen identical frags so each piece is a little more unique looking since theyve had time to grow differently (whether aquacultured, maricultured, or wild) and they dont get the same corals on a regular basis so its always exciting to see what they get in stock...that makes each piece less abundantly available, but personally I kinda like that.

ugh i wish that was the same here. Check out aquasd, they are a chop shop. Get nice colonies, break em into frags, sell them immediately pests and all. It was fine when they were cheaper but their prices arent great anymore

A lot of times theyll sell the full colonies here...the size of frags when the do cut a few pieces off the colony are rarely what would be considered "frag size" most places too. When they do cut a few pieces to only an inch to an inch and a half the price definitely reflects that.

You know whats odd to me? Here, people really dont have too much trouble acclimating and maintaining wild collected corals from Indonesia, but I frequently hear on the forum how much more difficult they are than aquacultured. It does make sense that aquacultured corals should in theory be much easier, but people really dont seem to have any more trouble keeping wild or maricultured corals alive here than other hobbyists have in keeping aquacultured corals. I should specify that the corals are of the same difficulty level...as in Acropora in both situations.

These are some of the mid-size colonies they sell whole instead of chop up, for example.
