I've been buying products for three, maybe four years now for my 125g mixed in-wall reef under the big screen TV in the living room. All I need is a lot of salt and heaters, build the 2x4 stand and the long stand for the hospital tank, The reef room is almost ready with a one piece vinyl sheet flooring (no more carpet) and marine paint on the walls where the tanks will be. Two large rubber trash cans are in the closet as a mixing can and a RO/DI fresh water can. I have water drains going downstairs to the house sewer drain. Four years of saving and planning the dream, might be over, and it almost makes this 62 yr old man cry. 
Most everything is ready to go, until two life changing events.
Back on June 5th my wife came through the door with food and I said I'll get the drinks, so I stood up from the couch, then fell back and told my wife, wow I feel weird, so I stumbled to the dinner table. I said my whole left side is numb ! I took a drink and it was like I just came home from the dentist slobbering Coke out my left mouth, and my wife said, you're having a stroke !
We live in a small town 10 mi from our Capitol City so my wife called 911. I was in the ICU for 8 days as they kept having trouble finding a round vein to get a I.V in. They tried 6 times before getting a Doctor that has a specialty with finding veins with a ultrasound type devise. My forearms were black & blue. lol
Years ago I was in a 35 mph zone in my truck when a lady rear ended me going 60 mph. It ripped all the tissues around my back skull, broke two vertebra and their disks. My specialists installed a Spinal Sord Stimulator from my tailbone to my neck. The hospital Doctors wanted me to have a MRI that shows the brain the best image possibly, but the stimulator has magnets it it and the MRI's huge magnets could rip my stimulator right out of my spine.....ouch !
So, I had a C-Scan every other day to check for and brain bleeds.
Then I was transferred to the Progressive Care Unit for 16 days and came home. FINALLLY,,,,,I thought.
After being home for 6 days, I got up out of bed and fell, then started flopping around like a fish out of water, my knees pounding down on the floor very hard and my hands, My wife was at work so I needed to get to the living room to call her. It took around 20 minutes but, by that time it was over. My knees, especially my left one hurt and was bleeding from carpet burns. I still have the scabs today. So, another 911 call to our volunteer people. They were a little confused because normannly people don't have two strokes tike me, so I had yet another C-Scan. They only show OLD strokes, like 4 to 5 days old, so I was tuk there again for another several days. Once the second scan was taken, the brain dead area was larger than the first, so that's why it'zs doubtful I had a different and second stroke stroke, but a "continuation" of the first one. Hum,....interesting. We all with I could get a MRI. Next month I have a appointment with my surgeon to ask if the stimulator can be safely, removed and it insurance will pay for it ? It doesn't work much anyway, so we believe future MRI's are more important since I'm more susceptible to future strokes now.
Anyway,....you guys know how I feel about getting to the point of crating a (almost) dream in-wall, below the living room TV, with a "reef room" behind it,. Is !!!
But my entire left side is numb. You can take a pen from the middle of my scalp, the left side is numb, my forehead, nose, cheek, jaw, li[s, neck (my man-hood is reduced about 40$) hip, ribs, left leg to my foot & toes. My left hand hurts like thousands of needels are poking it, it's numb, feels cold until I like wrap it around my walker it feels very hot. The skin is very tight. In the hospital I could not touch my thumb to any finger, but through physical therapy I can now !!!
They don't know if I'll ever have full use of it, but I won't give up !
I'm a diabetic with neurotherapy in my feet, especially my left one. It also feels like thousands of needles are poking at it and stings badly. And like steeping on a 2" et sponge. My balance,...... is very bad, I have to use my old man walker all the time.
The problem is, how do I work with tools (no table saws, chop saws etc. for sure) assemble everything to maintain all of it, or retire from this beautiful hobby ?
