Curious about anyone's experience with these? Recommended? Not a big deal? Or Personally stay away? I don't have any picky eaters, just think the concept of introducing them eventually to my tank is cool.

Thanks for any responses.

IME they flatly will not colonize a reef tank. They swim in the water column, so ate heavily targeted by pretty much all fish in these tanks, and just get promptly wiped out. The temperatures in reef tanks also seems to be off from where they want it and once in a reef tanks also seems they don’t reproduce well.

I cultured them for a bit, and must have added hundreds of thousands of them to the tank, dosing almost every day. They never took. Other pod species do just fine, but not these critters.

They are easy to culture though. They’re big enough to easily see, they reproduce just fine at household temperature, and are fairly hardy.

If you want pods that will colonize them go with Tisbe, or just wait for pods on frags/live rock/CUC to colonize.
