Trimming LPS Sweepers Tentacles

I just came across and noticed that WWC trims there sweeper tentacle on there pectina , I was wondering if any of you have done the same on your Chalice, Pectina or anything similar

I did purchase a space invader from them and was wondering why it didn’t have super larger sweeper so this could explain why

Trimming sweeper tenticles sounds not only unnecessary, but harmful to the coral. I would never consider doing that... Even if WWC does it. Sounds lazy in repositioning when it's negatively affecting surrounding coral. Hard pass on that.

I would think they would just grow back anyways....not sure what the point is other than possibly damaging the coral.
