Some are photosynthetic. I have several on my live rock. I can't get good photos of. I keep trying. I enjoy them so much, just watching them as they look like they are breathing.

I'm amazed my emperor hasn't eaten them yet. But she loves clove polyps.

I wouldn’t signal the end for it just yet. The odds are stacked against it for sure, but not all of them have a death sentence in our tanks. I have a pair of tunicates that have been alive in my tank for almost 3 months now. I have a video of them somewhere in my build thread lol. So who knows, yours might survive too!
