I've heard of it being done but with that alot of stories of them never finding eachother or just flat out not pairing.

I didn't introduce mine separately but the goby made a cave while the shrimp was on the other side of the tank but eventually they got together. Are they going in a reef tank? If they are watch out because my pair covers frags and dragged them into their burrow which stresses the corals out.

I did the same thing. Mine haven't found each other yet.

I would suggest putting the shrimp in a container next to the goby for a couple days. Than release next to the goby

From my experience, they will find each other. I got my little tiger pistol shrimp over a year ago, and got the blue spot goby about two weeks ago. Once they seen each other they went right together.

I hope mine will find each other. If I had it to do all over again I would do like I stated above

I think what made mine easy is the tank footprint being 24”, and I have three areas where the shrimp would be, and it happens to be the same place the goby would go. So basically just easy to see each other.

I wonder how they do it on a reef. It can't be by stupid dumb luck
