Hello, I’m a new reefer and recently set up a Fiji cube 38 gallon peninsula rimless aio tank. I’m having trouble keeping the water level high in the return chamber. Not sure if my pump is too strong or if my water level in the whole tank is off? I have the pump speed set to 8 out of 100 and the water still seems low. Any help would be appreciated!

I would guess that for that size of tank the pump is pumping too many gpm I personally would not use a sump in your set up. You can try to turn the pump down more or put in a globe valve or if its easier a ball valve to control the flow. I would have used a canister filter of the proper size. Interested to see how it works out for you so please let me know. To check on the valve idea just restrict the flow with your fingers at the outlet and see what happens. I am just suggesting these things not trying to be an expert

It's an all in one tank so the sump is built into the back of the tank. The pump is on power level 8 of 100. He just needs to add more water.

More saltwater in the sump will do it. Mark your level when your happy. Your drain and pump will level out. Make sure you're replacing water that evaporates.
Another thought is it anti siphoning? IE the main display tanks drain almost to the top of the overflow? Just below the input.

Yeah, what happened @RLC23 don't leave us hanging!
Putting more water in was the solution! I have my return pump set at 30 out of 100 now and the water level is right where I want it. It’s about an inch+ from where the water falls down into the compartment. It’s just making a loudish waterfall noise now so I was thinking of getting some filter floss or something to put where the water is hitting to quiet it down

What about topping off evaporated water? Is that sorted?
