My favorite day. Coral arrival day
All these new corals are from @SBB Corals. If you haven’t shopped there before, check them out. There are sales quite often and the deals are insane. I highly recommend them

I've heard some drawbacks on refugiums since building it. Mainly losing all my nutrients was the worst of them. So, I'm only running it 8 hours a day, to start. I have noticed my alkalinity going fast, but I doubt the chaeto is the reason. You were growing the hell out of that chaeto!
I actually had to cut down to 4 hours a day. That way there's a tiny bit of nitrate left in the water...

OMG brother, that's 1 of the prettiest collections I've seen that wasn't on an Andrew Sandler level! I love your Holy Grail. What is the name of your acan? Tell me it's not a Holy Grail Acan... I've always loved euphyllia, but acans have really moved up to the top of my list, lately. And BTW, I'm pretty sure you can't have too many pictures on here!

Thank you!

The acan is called sweet tart. It’s from SBB corals and when they have sales you can get them at a large discount! It’s green and purple with neon pink hash marks around it. Still trying to learn how photograph it best

And if you like acans….

Wow! Can I rip this pic, for my personal collection? I got my acans 3 weeks ago, and they haven't fluffed up like yours. Do they not get fully fluffed when producing new polyps? Right now it’s got 4 tiny pinpoint polyps, and 1 polyp about 3mm when he is out of the skeleton the most. That 1 bigger baby polyp is growing really fast, and none of them were growing when I received the coral in the first week of October. Impressive collection! In the words of Wayne and Garth, "I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy!".

I went to sbb last night and checked. They have a couple in stock. I just dropped $200 on a bonded pair of black Saddleback clownfish, 3 headed green/purple tipped octospawn and a warty rodactus mushroom. So I'm going to have to wait...

dang dude, you have got 1 Mac daddy collection! I love euphyllia and lobophyllia, and you bring it!!! Hell, I'm not an sps fan, but your sps is thriving. I'm running just over 100 par in my lagoon. I'd be afraid the top of my tank wouldn't support sps. I do have a meter. I should check the top. If I could get results like yours, I'd probably love sps, too.
Are you using a camera or a phone to get these awesome pictures?

Acro is challenging for me as a lot of my lps like lower par, so I keep the sandbed around 100, most of the torches are in the 150-200 range. And the acros i keep in the upper 1/3 and it’s 200-250

I installed a magnetic peninsula branch shelf in the middle of the tank to make new mount points for sps in high flow and par

I didn't realize they could live with under 300 par. I definitely have 200 in the top center. Maybe I'll get a frag of cannabis sps. I love the blues and purples, but I think I'll start with something green... I mean, why not at 55% off sale price?

Some acros do need high par others do just fine with 200-300.

There are 3 on eBay now for 75-90 shipped

Top shelf aquatics and vivid aquariums also have them in stock

I must be blind or they sold? I am not seeing them on ebay.

Debating one of these + cryptic zone for my 150g.
