I am looking for some new wrasses! What are your favorite fairy and flasher wrasses? I would like 2-3 peaceful flasher wrasses so that they can display their flashing. I would also like 2-3 peaceful fairy wrasses. So far I am interested in the Royal flasher wrasses, the Diamond tail flasher wrasses, and the McCoskers flasher wrasses. I am also interested in the Magma fairy wrasse, the Jordani flame fairy wrasse, and the pintail fairy wrasse. I want the wrasses to have different color palettes. I simply want the most beautiful and colorful wrasses! Any suggestions?

I have an annotated guide to the fairy wrasses I recommend.

For flashers it’s up to your personal taste. Though blue is probably my favorite

I think most of the flashers are pretty peaceful - with the possible exception of the Red Sea eightline . . .
I seem to get partway to my own goal for flashers & fairies in my tank, and then face a setback that costs me a few, whether it's a new fish that doesn't thrive or hops into an overflow (they're quite acrobatic - make sure they can't leave the tank!). IIRC, the Jordan's / Flame fairy is Hawaiian, so it may be ... a while ... before we see them again, if ever.

I'm currently keeping a pintail, Cirrhilabrus isocoles and a "solar / clown / redhead" Cirrhilabrus aquamarinus fairies, along with a yellowtail flasher. I've also recently added a royal / Severn's pencil wrasse. I'd like to add an exquisite, Cirrhilabrus exquisitus and Lubbock's, Cirrhilabrus lubbocki fairy, and a blue and royal flasher, along with a redhead and/or radiant wrasse of the Halichoeres genus. I'm thinking that would add up to a peaceful community, with plenty of diversity in both color and form.

There are certainly plenty to choose from!

Thank you so much! Between Cirrhilabrus Naokoae and Cirrhilabrus rubeus, which one do you like more? Any pros or cons that would help me pick between the two?

I had a similar tank dimension (48”x24”x18”) and in that system I only kept 1-2 flashers at a time. Looking back however, if I had changed my fish stock around then I would’ve been able to get 4-6 flashers/fairies in at once. Just be careful with what you go for in terms of fish that aren’t wrasses.
I have a Flame Back that if I try to add other flashers/fairies now she just murders (it’s at a point of I’m thinking about replacing her with a Multicolour Dwarf instead).

@TylerHaworth In a 90 I’d do a Fairy of your choice, a Flasher of your choice, and a Halichoeres of your choice. For the Halichoeres I would go with a Canary (Chrysus), Silver-Belly (Chrysus but with a white belly instead of all-yellow, Indian Ocean equivalent of the Chrysus), Claudia or Red-Lined (Biocellatus). I didn’t mention any of the Leopard or Pencil Wrasses as they’re a bit more on the difficult side.
