What size bulkhead should I be looking for for this hole in my tank. 1.5 inch? BRS says 1 inch to 1.5 inches? Its a single drain overflow so I want the biggest possible. Frag tank so flow through return will be lower and we makers will be pushing most of the water.

I'm probably wrong but according to the tape measure it looks like a 2.5 in hole.it would b time consuming but you could go to hardware store and purchase a few different size PVC nipples for a couple dollars to size it that way.

The hole looks to have been drilled (by the tape measure) for a 1.5 inch schedule 80 bulkhead. But hard to tell if you are centered with the tape.

the thing to remember is bulkheads are listed by the pipe they accept and not the hole they need.

So either a 1.5” schedule 40 or 80 bulkhead depending on the actual hole size is what is needed.
