It used to look like this:

Now, it's mouth is protruding and looks like this:

I can't think of anything that has changed in the system, including feeding.

What are your parameters sitting at right now?
Salinity 1.026
Alk 9.6
Ca 384
Mg 1430
NO3 5
PO4 153 (ppb)

I usually feed it shrimp chunks twice a week. Other nights it gets a combo of mysis, pellets, flake food, Reef Energy A&B and phyto/zoo powder.

It’s not your parameters-those seem pretty much in line with a “normal” dirty ish tank (they like a little more dirty). My tank fluctuates so much and it just seemed to make them spawn more.
In my opinion, you’re feeding too much. Even my largest (think baseball size) was only getting a single mysis shrimp one time a week (maybe twice if it caught one while the fish were eating). If it eats things that are too big or too often or too much, it will try to poo/regurgitate it out which is normally when you see its mouth start to act like your pictures.
Stop feeding and see if it returns to normal. I wouldn’t start to really worry unless it won’t hold onto the rock/glass/sand. That’s when it usually starts going south and melting.

Thanks. Very helpful!

A couple of months ago mine was doing the same after lights out. I didn't worry because by the morning it was fine, but like clockwork it would do it every night for about two weeks.

Mine do it to some extent when they’re eliminating waste lol since switching to a less wasteful food like bodies of mysis instead of head and tail, it did it less.
