Why does it seem iodine testing with home hobbies test aka hanna seachem est. Are a moot subject

Iodine testing is it a moot subject or is it truly valuable to test at home and with what test kit

I use the Seachem. It seems to pretty sensitive and at least tells me if there is something there or not.
