Hi- I’ve had a juvenile Achilles tang for about 5 mos. He’s been a perfect, beautiful fish. Today for the first time I notice that his entire head is pale brown and he’s not eating seaweed (which he would usually attack immediately). Typically he’s jet black (aside from his occasional moody white cheeks). Now his entire head looks faded and he’s not eating (swims up to the nori but won’t bite it). Pics below. This is my favorite fish. Please let me know your thoughts? Thank you!

Anything new in the tank that's wet - fish, corals, inverts, etc.?

Do you QT your fish and or treat for parasites, etc.?

If the answer the the last question is no, you’re dealing with parasites with near certainty.

Achilles pale up when they’re stressed.
