They're not like groupers at all. I've kept both. Groupers are MUCH more aggressive feeders than comets/ marine bettas. Anything that fits in a groupers' mouth is a gonner. Comets also have a large mouth but are usually content with eating 2-3 pieces of mysis or 2-3 pellets in a day, they eat super slowly and tend to stare at food for a while before actually eating it. Plus they never move.
I've never had one, so you are definitely more experienced in caring for one, but you can find multiple videos on YouTube like this.

I think the following would work
Flame angel (can eat coral)

Mystery wrasse (get a female, males can be kind of big). A tough species which should be able to stand up to your evil 'marble wrasse', which i'm assuming is Halichoeres hortulanus

Marine betta (Very boring in my opinion)

Liopropoma basslet. There's a lot of species, they act similar to grammas in that they're shy and not seen super often. If you get one larger than your gramma it should prevent it from being harassed by the gramma

Yellow candy hogfish. Yellow and pinkish, pretty much never over 2-2.5" in captivity. Another tough species which won't be harassed easily.

a leopard could work. They are hard to get eating though and can be easily bullied.

Well sure they'll eat small shrimp that fit in their mouth. But that doesn't make them like groupers, a good rule for most fish is if something fits in it's mouth it can be eaten. The difference is when i'd feed live feeder shrimp to my 6 foot tank, my 4" v-tail grouper would instantly fly across the tank in an instant and swallow 4-5 shrimp in a few seconds. Meanwhile if you added a cleaner shrimp to a tank with a comet, it would probably take a week or so for the cleaner to move around to whatever cave it's hiding in and be noticed.

My gramma is out all day surprisingly. Marine betta I guess is boring but the color is what makes it worth it, what about a white spotted wrasse? Also arent most hogfish extremely expensive. Wanted to point out I'm 15 so everything is on a budget.

If it is a color thing, yellow tail tamarine wrasse would be similar.

Leopard Wrasse come in a large swath of colors and would be a good show fish in a 65.

I'm not american, but i just looked at liveaquaria and yellow candy hogs are like $70.

I'd say no on the white spotted wrasse. They're often available at larger sizes like 3-5", are sensitive to water parameter swings and bullying, and are extremely difficult to get eating. 9/10 individuals will never accept prepared foods in captivity. This goes for pretty much all Anampses species. A.neoguincaus is the easiest to get eating, and can stay small enough but again can be bullied.

Yellow tail tamarins are just as finnicky as their sister species unfortunately
True story. Just listing fish that are good show fish, the OPs expertise level wasn't something that was mentioned so I didn't take that into consideration.

A purple tilefish might something interesting too. People seem to be loving tilefish lately and they come in striking colors. The blue faced tile is nice too.

It isn't really even about experience. With a lot of tamarins, even very experienced aquarists can't get them to eat.

I got the Marine Betta from Biota. He’s pretty much out all day long and in the front of the tank. He’s the smartest fish I have and definitely knows me.

I have 4 shrimp (cleaner, fire, tiger pistol, and Randall’s pistol), hermits, snails. He hasn’t bothered them so far. I don’t think I would trust him with sexy shrimp or small peppermint though. He also hasn’t bothered my mandarins that are about 1.5”.

Mandarins have a very toxic slimecoat, so pretty much all fish will avoid eating them
