Nice, thanks for your work on this. Would you maybe be willing to add Captiv8 products as an option?
Their concentrations are listed on the labels. I use their products and their excel sheet but I cant put in my own target level like you can with your calculator.
https://www.captiv8aquaculture.com/shop
If you contact them they will do it for you. Will even mix a dosing solution that addresses needs identified by your icp results pretty inexpensively.

Any chance you can add the Fauna Marin elements? Here is a chart I found from a couple of years ago.

Fauna Marin:

Iodine1 ml /100 Liter (26 US gal) = +10 µg iodine /liter#
Strontium2 ml /100 Liter (26 US gal) = +2 mg strontium/liter
Bromine10 ml /100 Liter (26 US gal) = +10 mg bromine/liter
Potassium10 ml /100 Liter (26 US gal) = 10 mg pottasium
Manganese1 ml /100 Liter (26 US gal) = +4 µg manganese /liter
Lithium1 ml /100 Liter (26 US gal) = +15 µg lithium /liter
Vanadium1 ml /100 Liter (26 US gal) = +5 µg vanadium /liter
Nickel1 ml /100 Liter (26 US gal) = +4 µg Nickel / L
Zinc1 ml /100 Liter (26 US gal) = +10 µg zinc/liter
Boron15 ml /100 Liter (26 US gal) = +1 mg boron/liter
Cobalt1 ml /100 Liter (26 US gal) = +4 µg cobalt /liter
Sulfurn/a
Iron1 ml /100 L (26 US gal) = +4 µg / L
Flourine10 ml /100 L (26 US gal) = + 0,2 mg / L
Barium10 ml /100 Liter (26 US gal) = +5 µg barium /liter
Molybdenum1 ml /100 Liter (26 US gal) = +6 µg molybdenum /liter
Rubidiumn/a
Chromium1 ml /100 Liter (26 US gal) = +0,5 µg chrome /liter

Sure, I'll add these soon.

:star-struck:New on Reef.Tools! :star-struck: Now Supporting Oceamo and ATI ICP Test Results for Dosing Recommendations!

Reefers, get ready – the ICP Dosing Recommendations Calculator just leveled up! :smiling-face-with-halo: I’m thrilled to announce that Oceamo and ATI ICP test results are now live, right alongside Triton.

Here’s how it works:

  • Instant Recommendations – Just enter the URL to your public ICP test results, or to the PDF download if you’re using Oceamo. The calculator will work its magic, giving you dosing recommendations tailored to the supplements you’re already using!
  • Ultimate Flexibility – Don’t feel like controlling every single element? Go ahead and ignore the ones you don’t care to dose. Focus only on the parameters that matter to you.
  • Pre-Built Reference Sets – Dive in with pre-built reference parameters that are already fine-tuned to match your unique reef needs.
Give it a go and make your reef-keeping life easier! Let’s keep those tanks thriving! Try it out, and let me know what you think – your feedback is what makes Reef.Tools better.

Happy reefing, and here’s to healthier, happier tanks!

PS: I'm not officially endorsed by Triton, ATI, or Oceamo—just a jobless reefer helping make other reefers's lives a little bit easier.

For closer to completeness, would you be willing to add the Moonshiners elements to this as well?

The spreadsheet here has the concentrations

ICP Assessment & Dosing Calculation Tool
Hi @subnet88,

I’ve added all the elements from the spreadsheet to the calculator—so Moonshiners is officially in the mix! While the magic is happening, I did notice some concentrations that feel a little… mysterious, likely due to rounding errors. To keep things clear, I’ve marked them as estimated concentrations for now.

Feel free to give it a spin and let me know if anything looks off—it’s always fun debugging reef math, right? :smiling-face-with-halo: Meanwhile, I’ve reached out to Reef Moonshiner's to see if they’re willing to share the official numbers with me and solve the mystery once and for all.

Appreciate your help making this tool even better!

Best regards,
Subodh

Great tool, thanks for taking the time to not only create this, but for sharing freely with the community. That's admirable and greatly appreciated.

Could you however not add Randy's DIY recipes to the mix? The option is there for his parameter recommendation, but for those of us that use his DIY recipes, there is not the option to use the calculator.

Thanks in advance,

Thanks, @geologeek, for the kind words and thoughtful suggestion—feedback like yours keeps this project afloat! Adding Randy's DIY recipes to the calculator is a great idea.

That said, I’ve tagged @Randy Holmes-Farley multiple times on this post (and even in the intro post where I begged him not to sue me :downcast-face-with-sweat:). While he’s answered a few questions here and there, he’s so far artfully ignored the tool itself. Totally fair—he’s a legend in the reefing world, and I wouldn’t want to accidentally summon his wrath by tinkering too much with his work. :p

Still, if there’s enough interest and a respectful, accurate way to integrate his recipes, I’d be up for it. @Randy Holmes-Farley, if you’re reading this, please consider it an open invitation to help shape this (or tell me why it’s a bad idea)! Until then, @geologeek, I’d love to hear how you’d see these recipes fitting in. I ask because I think the BRS additives are Randy's recipes anyway, aren't they?

Being from the other side of the pond, I'm not that au fait with BRS other than a few of their videos on YouTube.

You are right that they have taken Randy's recipes and offer you bulk supply of the base ingredients, which is fine for calcium and alkalinity, I can use the calculator for those, but in the calculator for magnesium for example, I can choose either magnesium chloride or magnesium sulphate - but not a mixture of the two.

Also there is no sodium silicate (water glass) offered by BRS, and again I follow Randy's recipe......but to be truthful I don't need a calculator for that as I only dose 1ml if the stock solution per week.

Still, your calculator is great and it's helpful that it is all in one place and not having to use multiple calculators for different elements. So thanks!

Thanks, @geologeek! I’ve gone ahead and added Randy’s recipes based on the details from this article: Reefkeeping Magazine - Randy's Recipes. Specifically, I’ve included:
  • Recipe 1 Calcium Part
  • Recipe 2 Calcium Part
  • Recipe 1 Alkalinity Part
  • Recipe 2 Alkalinity Part
  • Recipe 1 & 2, Part A & B
For magnesium, both Recipe 1 and Recipe 2 seem to have the same concentration so I added just one. You can find all these grouped under Other/DIY Brand.
I didn't find the Sodium Silicate recipes, but if you can link them here, I can add them.

If there are any inaccuracies or updates needed, please let me know - I'm always open to corrections.
Thanks again for the nudge—it’s feedback like this that keeps the calculator in shipshape and ready for the reefing community!:)

That's amazing work and in such short a time..... really is a credit to you.

As to Randy's recipe, it comes from his article on the subject:

So I essentially have 5ml of water glass diluted in 1.5ltr of RODI and can dose 1ml of this every week or so.

I am sure that this along with a 5 day blackout was sufficient to deal with a dinoflagellate outbreak, as it is now gone.

Added bonus is yellow sponges have started to expand their territories.

New on Reef.Tools: AF Lab ICP Recommendations!

Reefers, the ICP Dosing Recommendations Calculator just got another upgrade! You can now use your Aquaforest Lab ICP results to get precise dosing recommendations. Just paste the public results URL (no uploading or PDFs—who has time for that?), and let the calculator do its thing. It’s like magic, but reefier. ‍♂️

Want to dose Calcium but ignore Boron? Done. Want to act like you know what Lithium does in a reef tank? Be my guest. This tool is all about flexibility—because you’re the boss of your reef (or at least you think you are).

I tested it with the one reefer who asked for it (thanks, you know who you are!), but I’ll need my EU reefing friends to help me break it properly. Feedback is priceless, like finding a frag of Walt Disney at a garage sale.

Give it a whirl at https://reef.tools/aflabdose, and let me know how it goes. If something’s off, I’ll fix it faster than a turbo snail finds algae.(I'll try :p )

PS: Still not endorsed by Triton, ATI, Oceamo, or Aquaforest -- just your jobless reefer doing my bit to make reef-keeping a little less salty.:smiling-face-with-halo:

Thanks for the kind words @Arkayology ! I appreciate the suggestion, and I'll add Tropic Marin Balling Parts A, B, and C soon. Stay tuned!
Hi @Arkayology ,

Just a quick update—I’ve added the Tropic Marin Balling Components A, B, and C to the calculator. However, I’m not entirely confident I got everything right, especially for Part C. The instructions were a bit tricky to follow, and I’d appreciate it if you/someone could double-check my implementation to ensure accuracy.

Thanks in advance for any feedback or guidance!
