@NancyFish !! Rocky Mountain fish filter company! I saw their filters at reefapalooza and thought they were very intriguing.

What a beautiful tank you have there. WowI don’t know where I fall
Thank you. I've seen pictures of yous as well and it's amazing. Great work. Have you noticed improved color since you removed your skimmer?

oh my header location, nah I just wasn’t paying attention when writing it up.. and I still spell my other home state wrong too..no one from CT (including me) ever pronounces the "c".
Definitely inspiration we’ll be walking into reefapalooza with lol.. as they grow do you have to cut back.. do they compete with one another as they grow for space?Pick two contrasting color babies and start with that and you can have something amazing in 6 - 8 months
Even just two can be stunning!
Then I recently added two more

NiceI put in one of these fleece rollers. It has significantly reduced the build up in the protein skimmer, in fact I could actually go up to a month now between cleaning of the skimmer. Previously the skimmer would be full at the two week point.
I don't think it was from removing the skimmer, but from the pod larva that was no longer being removed from the system. The coral now had access to live food on a regular basis. The first week when I moved my coral to the system pictured in my other post all my coral lost a significant amout of color. I was thinking what have I done. Since that time the color is returning. They look good but are still dull compared to how they looked in my 710 with a similar system. In that same time the pod population took off. It could be coincidence, but I'm thinking it could be connected. This is my refugium.I feel my corals got plumper and brighter but it happened over time so I can’t fully credit skimmer removal. Definitely nothing bad happened
Nice, where's the rock from?Mesh socks are what I use.
All live rock. Only uglies will be on the glass until the coralline takes over.
A diverse cleanup crew will keep the rocks clean.
150lbs and im at day 15.
Have a plan and keep it simple.
